Unnikrishnan P is an independent developer and designer who builds free, privacy-friendly browser tools, with a background in banking and finance. periodictable.page is one of them: an interactive periodic table with a page for every element and element family.

What he does here

  • Developer. He builds the interactive table, its property heatmaps and temperature view, and every element and family page from the reference data.
  • Designer. He designs the table, the element cards, the charts and the infographics so a value is easy to find at a glance.
  • Content author. He writes the guides and the plain-English explanations on each page.
  • Fact checker. He checks element values against IUPAC and NIST data, and every worked calculation, such as a molar mass, step by step against its standard formula before it goes live.

Work experience

  • Purchasing Executive, Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kochi (internship, since March 2020). Sources quotes and spare parts for ships, negotiates bulk-order prices, tracks deliveries and keeps purchase, invoice and payment records. Built a system to prevent over-ordering and another to compare the cost and quality of suppliers.
  • Gate Supervisor, Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida (contract, July to September 2024). Ran Gate 6 at a major motorsport event, leading a team through crowd management, incident handling and guest service.
  • Assistant Gate Supervisor, Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida (contract, July to September 2023). Coordinated gate operations and managed a team of around 30 students.
  • Customer service and digital banking associate, HDFC Bank, Bengaluru (part-time, 2023 to 2024). Helped customers at branches with UPI and net banking set-up, daily cash reconciliation, ATM transactions and self-service banking.
