Using the site

You're welcome to use the periodic table and element pages for free, for study, teaching, personal or professional reference. You don't need an account.

Data is for reference

Element values come from published reference data, but reference sources differ in their measurement conditions and are revised over time, and values for heavy and synthetic elements are often predictions. Check critical values against a primary source before relying on them for laboratory, engineering, medical or safety decisions. Nothing on the site is safety advice for handling chemicals.

Accuracy

We work to keep the data and explanations accurate, but we can't guarantee that every value or piece of information is complete, current or error-free. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the contact page.

Content, infographics and reuse

The site's text, code, design, infographics and branding belong to Periodic Table. You may link to any page and quote short passages with a link back.

Teachers may show pages and infographics in class. To reuse an infographic elsewhere, keep its periodictable.page credit and link back to the page it comes from; for any other reuse, please ask through the contact page.

Compound data shown from PubChem is subject to PubChem's own terms.

Free printable PDFs

The periodic table PDFs on the PDF downloads page are free to download, print and share for personal, classroom and educational use, with a link back to that page. Please keep the periodictable.page credit on the file, and don't sell the PDFs, host them as your own or remove the credit. For any other use, please ask through the contact page.

Acceptable use

Please don't disrupt the site or its visitors. That includes trying to break its security, overloading it with automated requests, scraping it at scale, clicking ads artificially or using the site for anything unlawful.

Analytics, advertising and links

The site uses analytics, shows ads and links to other websites. We don't control those ads or sites and aren't responsible for their content, products or practices. Our privacy policy explains what is collected and your choices.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise the site will always be available or error-free.
